Tuition

Tuition prices differ each school year and during the summer programs.

Please note, tuition prices are prorated for students who start school later in the school year.

What is HKS doing to combat inflation and teacher/childcare shortages nationwide?
Consistent with the increase in inflation and cost of living in Hawaii we will be increasing tuition by 8% for the 2024-2025 school year.

The BOG, in partnership with the Head of School, will continue to work tirelessly to identify outside resources and apply for grants to expand and maintain our programming to mitigate increased costs in the future.

We are also introducing some incentives to help offset the cost of tuition, and we will collate educational resources for parents to maximize funding sources available to our families.

What is the Refer a Friend incentive?
If you refer a new student, both the family making the referral and the new student will receive $500 off tuition. The credit will be applied to the last payment of the school year, and the student must complete the school year unless they leave for an approved reason—e.g., PCSing off island.

Further, if your family refers two students, that will cover approximately the 10% tuition increase. The referral fee is a one-time deduction for both sides and is effective for the school year in which the referral takes place. The administrative staff is generating unique codes that can be used by each family. If referrals are made for the current 2022-2023 school year, current families will have the applicant provide the code to administration when applying. For the 2024-2025 school year, we will include a referral code entry box in the enrollment packet. Referrals must be enrolled as students and will be subject to screening and space availability.

What is the Sibling Discount?
Beginning in the 2024-2025 school year, families will receive $500 off for their second child and $750 off tuition for their third child (or every child thereafter).
