Letter from the Head of School

Aloha and Welcome to Hale Keiki School,

People often ask me what I love about our school.

Here’s my top 10.

1. The students at our school are incredible humans. They are welcoming, friendly, smart, and hilarious. They are not perfect, but if you ask us, they are close.

2. Our staff is a great group of talented professionals who love our students and each other. They are all dedicated to children and education.

3. Our Families: We serve a wide range of military and local families. They are among the kindest, most generous people you could ever meet.

4. Our Parent Teacher Organization works above and beyond, behind the scenes, and pours a whole lot of love into our school.

5. Our Board of Governors are a hard-working crew who work to keep the strategic vision focused for our special little school in the middle of the sea.

6. Our results: Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade students test, on average, two years above grade level on end-of-year, nationally normed, standardized testing.

7. Our curriculum is student-centered, multi-sensory, individualized, and highly engaging.

8. Our program offerings. We have a wide variety of experiences including overnight camping, outer island excursions, whale watching, and much more. We offer a lot of afterschool enrichment activities including, but not limited to drama, chess, origami, soccer, and leadership.

9. Our campus. We have an incredible amount of outdoor space, and we LOVE and believe in recess.

10. Our alumni. They span the globe. When they reach out and tell us how HKS has positively impacted their lives, it's everything.

For 77 years we’ve served the best of the best. Sign up for a tour and find out what you’ll love about Hale Keiki. We’d love to meet you and invite you to be a part of our ohana.

With Warm Aloha,

Monique
