Military Kids

Hale Keiki School has students whose parents are from every branch of service, including reservists and DOD employees, as well as the local civilian population.

Our students face separation from loved ones due to deployments and other calls to duty by the military. These children are brave, thoughtful, kind, and generous. Each morning the words echo in the courtyard, "We are respectful, responsible, ready, and safe. We are also sharing, caring, helpful, and kind."

Above all, a Hale Keiki student is proud to stand each morning with a hand over their heart to recite the Pledge of Allegiance and sing the National Anthem with stillness and respect that comes from knowing the sacrifice their family makes to protect our country and freedoms.

In accordance with our philosophy and mission statement, we encourage our students, parents, and staff to give back to our community. Hale Keiki School holds several annual collection drives to support military families and local organizations, including the Tripler Army Medical Center Fisher House and the Hawai'i Food Bank.
