January 26, 2024: Enrollment opens for all other new students

We maintain a rolling enrollment throughout the year, until spring break (mid-March 2025)

Screening

All New Students must participate in a 5-day social, emotional, and academic screening for the first 5 days of school (08/05/2024-8/9/2024). Our screening takes place in the classroom and does not disrupt your student's schooling experience but instead uses that as a tool of observation.

During the screening, students are required to be walked in and signed in at the office, and a member of the administrative team will escort your student to their classroom. They will be brought to the office at the end of each day and will need to be picked up from there.

Enrollment is conditional until screening is completed.

*If you enroll after August 4, 2024, please contact HKS Administration to discuss your start date options.*

Family Interview

All new families must attend a Family Interview with a member of the Administrative Staff. Returning families with new students may skip this step.

You will receive a link in your enrollment confirmation email to schedule an appointment.

Please do this as soon as possible to prevent delays in enrollment confirmation.

NOTE ABOUT HOMESCHOOL TRANSFERS

Being that the past couple of school years provided a lot of academic strains, we understand more and more people opted for homeschooling their students for all or a portion of the year.

If you fall under this category, please note we will require the following, in addition to any other required documentation for your application to be accepted:

  • Quarterly Report Cards that include grades for Language Arts (including handwriting and reading), Social Studies, Science, and Math.
  • Work Samples for each graded subject
  • Curriculum used for each graded subject
  • and/or any completed standardized testing

This only applies to students entering 1st-6th grade in the 2024-2025 school year who have been homeschooled (not the same as distance learning) for any amount of time in their academic history.

This page will be updated regularly with more information, including tuition costs, as it becomes available.

Mahalo!
